AI/ML Engineer

Texas State Library and Archives Commission is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer for a hybrid contract role in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on NLP techniques including automatic speech recognition, entity recognition, and LLM integration. Responsibilities include fine-tuning LLMs, optimizing NLP models, and staying current with advancements.

• Integrate LLMs into applications for tasks like text generation, translation and text completion
• Fine tune LLMs for specific tasks and domains, enhancing their performance in speech related applications
• Develop language models that understand and generate human like text based on the specific context or input
• Assess the performance of speech to text and text generation models using metrics and NLP benchmarks
• Work on optimizing the efficiency of NLP models for real time and low latency applications
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in NLP and LLM technologies and contribute to the development of new techniques and models

• 10-12 years of experience
• Good understanding of AI/ML especially NLP, LLM concepts with at least 6-12 months hands-on experience
