GSK (via TESARO) is seeking a Staff AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of deep learning models for controllable biology and drug discovery. The role involves applying machine learning to biological networks, sequence data, and single-cell experiments to solve complex scientific problems. You will define technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and deliver end-to-end AI solutions in an agile environment.

• Convert complex biological questions into tractable mathematical and computational problems.
• Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models for genomic and proteomic data.
• Define technical strategy and roadmaps for AI/ML products, ensuring safety and operational reliability.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams and foster inclusive, supportive cultures.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure models are explainable, safe, and relevant to drug discovery.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with standard deep learning algorithms, model architectures, and scalable training/deployment.
• 7+ years of software development experience including CI/CD, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
