Shift Technology is seeking a Data Scientist/Engineer to build and productionize AI agents for the insurance industry. The role involves designing LLM-based solutions using RAG, embeddings, and agentic frameworks like LangChain and OpenAI Agent SDK. You will develop data pipelines optimized for multi-modal models and establish rigorous evaluation frameworks for responsible AI.
Responsibilities
- Build and productionize data pipelines for structured, text, document, and image data optimized for LLMs.
- Design, develop, and deploy LLM-based solutions including RAG, embeddings, and instruction tuning.
- Experiment with Agentic AI technologies (LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI Agent SDK) to develop autonomous subrogation solutions.
- Develop Chain-of-Thought and ReAct prompting strategies for legal justification.
- Create custom tools for agents to query databases and external APIs.
- Establish evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-a-judge) for unbiased and explainable decisions.
- Lead client workshops and define roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in production-level object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Proven hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI techniques (RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering).
