Otonomee is seeking a Full Stack AI Engineer to serve as its first software engineering hire, building and scaling an enterprise AI platform on Azure. You will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications, integrating backend systems, APIs, and lightweight UIs while establishing core infrastructure and security standards. As a founding engineer, you will take ownership of the technical roadmap, working closely with leadership to ship production-ready solutions in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship end-to-end AI applications spanning backend, data, APIs, and UI
- Establish and scale the AI platform on Azure, including APIM, identity, networking, and observability
- Implement CI/CD, IaC, testing, and deployment standards for reliable delivery
- Integrate internal and third-party SaaS platforms via APIs and event-driven systems
- Embed security and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2) into the platform architecture
Requirements
- Proven experience shipping full-stack applications end-to-end
- Hands-on expertise with AI/LLMs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic) and patterns like RAG, agents, and prompt engineering
- Strong backend development skills in Python, C#/.NET, or Node.js
