Sr Software Engineer, AI Experience (VIRTUAL, WA, US, 00000)

This role focuses on building personalization and recommendation systems for Vivint's AI experiences. You will design and deploy production ML systems including ranking, retrieval, and candidate generation, while partnering with Agentic AI teams. The position requires strong Python and SQL skills and experience with embeddings, experimentation, and CI/CD.

• Design and build personalization, recommendation, ranking, retrieval, candidate-generation, and re-ranking systems.
• Develop household, user, device, event, and context representations using behavioral signals, embeddings, feedback, and product telemetry.
• Build feedback loops from searches, dismissals, saves, notification engagement, customer actions, and product usage.
• Partner with Agentic AI and AI Platform teams to connect short-term context, long-term memory, retrieval, and personalization.
• Design experiments (A/B tests, holdouts, interleaving, contextual bandits, multi-armed bandits, causal measurement).
• Deploy and monitor production recommendation systems with attention to latency, reliability, cost, privacy, and customer trust.

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience; or Master's degree with 2+ years.
• Experience with ranking, retrieval, recommendation, personalization, or learning-to-rank systems.
