Samsara is seeking a Senior AI Security Engineer to lead the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. This role involves using frontier AI models to red-team cloud environments, validate firmware vulnerabilities, and stress-test security postures against AI-driven adversaries. The position requires deep expertise in securing LLMs, agentic workflows, and building novel AI-enabled security tooling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver security assessments of software, code, and firmware against AI-driven/adversarial attacks.
- Build and pressure-test novel AI-enabled security tooling and workflows for org-wide adoption.
- Use frontier AI/LLM tools (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) for offensive validation and defensive tooling.
- Partner with engineering and leadership to define medium- and long-term AI security strategy.
- Translate general AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for application security layers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, or offensive security.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to real security workflows (APIs, agents, automation).
- Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware/firmware environments.
