Computer Vision Engineer | Remote

This is a part-time contract role for a Computer Vision Engineer to design and evaluate challenging computer vision tasks targeting capability gaps in frontier AI models. You will build evaluation tasks, analyze model performance, and identify failure modes. The role requires strong experience in computer vision and Python, working remotely and independently.

• Design real-world computer vision problems targeting object detection, segmentation, recognition, multimodal/vision-language reasoning, and image/video generation.
• Build tasks in an agentic development environment using Python, preparing all necessary components and reference solutions.
• Evaluate model performance against designed tasks and analyze outputs to surface reasoning failures and capability limitations.
• Identify and classify failure modes where the target model underperforms, informing headroom analysis and future evaluation direction.
• Collaborate with fellow subject-matter experts to maintain consistency, rigor, and accuracy across evaluations.

• Strong experience in computer vision including object detection, segmentation, recognition, or multimodal reasoning from industry, research, or a graduate/PhD background.
• Strong experience in Python, applied practically in research, industry, or open-source contexts.
