About the Role
Oxford Dynamics is seeking an AI Engineer for a contract role to design and deploy multi-agent AI systems using LLMs and vision-language models. You will work on agentic AI pipelines in mission-critical defense environments. This hybrid role is based in Oxford, UK.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimise multi-agent AI systems (LangGraph, Haystack)
- Integrate LLMs and VLMs into agent workflows
- Deploy AI to cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments
- Build production-ready pipelines
- Set design patterns for junior engineers
Requirements
- Commercial experience in multi-agent AI systems
- Strong Python and LLM frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Haystack)
- Experience deploying AI/ML to production
- Docker, Git, AWS familiarity
- Understanding of secure deployment patterns
Nice to Have
- Multimodal reasoning
- Edge/offline AI deployments
- Kubernetes (EKS/OpenShift)
- MLOps experience
- Observability for agentic systems
- Agent orchestration patterns (A2A)
- MCPs for tool integration
- Secure-by-design principles
