Okta is building the industry's first Identity Security Fabric for the agentic era, securing both human and non-human identities. As a Staff Fullstack Engineer, you will architect and lead the technical implementation of a unified control plane that discovers, onboards, protects, and governs AI agents. You will drive AI-native engineering practices and ensure secure, scalable access for enterprise AI deployments.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric and prioritize open standards like IPSIE.
- Implement the four-pillar maturity model (Discover, Onboard, Protect, Govern) across fullstack systems.
- Architect systems to discover and secure all agents, including Shadow AI assets.
- Enforce least privilege for agents via Agent Gateways and short-lived credentials.
- Drive adoption of AI-native development practices across the team.
- Identify and prioritize tech debt and improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
- Partner with Product and Design to own customer outcomes.
- Mentor and grow peer engineers to raise the technical bar.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software using Java or another type-safe language.
