MoonPay is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of its real-time transaction decisioning platform focused on fraud detection and prevention. In this hands-on technical role, you will own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, build robust feature infrastructure, and ensure high-availability model serving within strict latency budgets. You will drive technical standards, implement continuous deployment and feedback loops, and mentor engineers while solving complex adversarial problems at scale.

• Own the real-time transaction decisioning system and underlying ML platform
• Develop and scale feature infrastructure across batch, near-real-time, and in-request paths
• Design degraded paths and fallback mechanisms for high-availability model serving
• Implement replay, shadow, and staged-rollout tooling for safe live model updates
• Maintain alignment between offline training and online serving metrics

• Proven experience building and operating high-availability real-time ML services with strict latency budgets
• Strong systems thinking with expertise in identifying failure points and managing graceful degradation
• Hands-on engineering craft with a focus on tested, typed, and maintainable code
