Senior Machine Learning Engineer - (Logistics, Optimization)

Delivery Hero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its Logistics Optimization team in Berlin. You will build and maintain scalable ML models and the infrastructure that powers real-time vehicle routing and dispatch decisions for millions of users. This role involves collaborating with data scientists, developing ML tooling, and leveraging modern cloud platforms to optimize logistics performance globally.

• Design, build and maintain scalable ML model services, optimizing for performance and efficiency.
• Build the infrastructure powering critical model inputs for the dispatch algorithm.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand product needs and build scalable solutions.
• Develop and enhance ML engineering tooling for model development, monitoring, serving, and experimentation.
• Utilize cloud infrastructure to build highly available systems for multiple teams.
• Proactively suggest new technologies and architectures to support new use cases.

• 4+ years of experience in ML engineering or MLOps, familiar with model serving, training, experimentation, and feature engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing ML models such as regression, classification, and tree-based ensembles, with a strong theoretical foundation in statistics and probability.
