Davis is seeking an AI Researcher to lead the development of a foundation model for architectural design, focusing on generating compliant floorplans using discrete diffusion models. The role involves designing model architectures, leading large-scale distributed training on GPU clusters, and iterating on benchmarks to surpass state-of-the-art generative methods. You will collaborate closely with architects and engineers to deploy research into production tools.
Responsibilities
- Design core model architecture and discrete design spaces for architectural layouts
- Lead large-scale model training from scratch on GPU clusters with distributed computing
- Establish benchmarks and iterate on generative models to improve performance and compliance
- Collaborate with domain experts (architects) to ensure outputs meet real-world constraints
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s in Maths, Computer Science, ML, or equivalent experience
- Deep understanding of diffusion models (discrete/continuous) and guided generation
- Proven experience in large-scale deep learning model training and distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with strong engineering skills for efficient pipelines
