Lakera is hiring a Senior ML Engineer to build AI security defenses for GenAI applications. You will develop production-grade models that detect prompt injection and adversarial threats in real time, working on threat datasets and detector improvements. This remote role involves end-to-end ML development, from data collection to high-performance model deployment.

• Extend detector scope to support multiple languages without performance degradation.
• Increase defense coverage 100x across multilingual text, code, and other modalities.
• Incorporate LLM output and behavioral metadata into prompt injection detection models.
• Red team detectors to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize dataset generation and fixes.
• Ship ML models to production with high reliability and cadence.

• 4+ years of experience shipping machine learning models to production.
• Experience productionizing ML in unstructured data spaces such as NLP and vision.
• End-to-end ML model development experience.
• Experience working with long-tail data distributions and bringing models from prototype to production.
• Strong ownership and accountability in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

• Experience with AI safety, security, or adversarial ML.
