Ryerson is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable machine learning solutions and AI agents across its industrial operations. The role involves owning the full lifecycle of AI/ML systems, integrating generative AI tools like Azure OpenAI, and collaborating with business stakeholders to drive automation and predictive analytics.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML systems, from design to production support
- Build and maintain AI/ML infrastructure, models, and autonomous agents across business functions
- Develop integrations using Azure AI services, Databricks, and Python
- Monitor model performance and recommend emerging AI technologies
- Partner with stakeholders to define goals, success metrics, and delivery timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML applications
- Hands-on expertise with Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, and generative AI solutions
- Strong knowledge of MLOps practices, including model versioning and monitoring
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Kubernetes, and Databricks
