About the Role
This UK-based remote AI Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade Azure AI solutions for scientific and business workflows. You’ll build LLM-powered chatbots and autonomous agents, integrate vector search and embeddings, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver secure, scalable AI platforms. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of AI/ML engineering experience, strong Azure expertise, and proficiency in Python, SQL, and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services
- Develop, fine-tune, and deploy LLM-powered chatbots and autonomous AI agents
- Define, maintain, and optimize AI models, data flows, and integration patterns
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Integrate AI services, vector databases, embeddings, and cloud-native technologies into secure architectures
- Ensure AI solutions comply with governance standards, metadata management, and traceability requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of AI platforms, frameworks, and engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or a similar role
