Dialpad is seeking a Software Engineer (Agentic Systems) to lead the architecture and delivery of its next-generation AI agent platform. This role involves building scalable multi-agent orchestration, memory architectures, and LLM inference optimization. You will collaborate with Product, Applied Research, and executive leadership to move beyond copilots into autonomous workflow execution. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and a strong background in distributed systems and LLM platforms.
Responsibilities

Mentor & influence: act as a technical anchor, raise the engineering bar, and define technical standards for an AI-native SDLC.
Partner cross-functionally: align technical execution with business strategy across Product, Engineering, and Applied Research.
Push the frontier: research and implement emerging agent frameworks, LLM inference optimization, advanced retrieval systems, and safety/policy guardrails.
Requirements
10+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a proven track record of technical leadership (Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal Engineer).
