Staff ML Infra Engineer, Search & Discovery

Coupang is seeking a Staff ML Infra Engineer to design and implement scalable ML platforms for search and discovery, handling massive data volumes and serving models in real time. This role involves building and optimizing data pipelines, ML model training infrastructure, and online inference services to enhance customer experience.

• Drive execution of end-to-end data platform and data quality roadmap for Search & Discovery ML efforts.
• Take ownership, consolidate, and optimize core data logging, processing, and ML model training pipelines.
• Develop and scale data infrastructure for batch and real-time data processing, monitoring, and debugging for ML experiments.
• Design and implement scalable ML-based ranking systems and online ML inference services.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver offline and online needs.
• Research and select technical approaches for solving complex development and integration problems; coach and mentor other engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in applied machine learning.
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
