About the Role
This is a founding engineering role at Otonomee, a CX outsourcing company building its AI platform. You will design, build, and ship AI-powered applications end-to-end on Azure, working across backend, data, APIs, and lightweight UI. As the first AI engineer, you will establish the platform foundation and work closely with the CTO and product team.
Responsibilities
- AI application development using patterns like RAG, agents, and prompt engineering
- Building and scaling Azure AI platform with CI/CD and IaC
- Integrating with CRM and CX platforms (Zendesk, Genesys, Intercom, Microsoft 365)
- Embedding security and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Collaborating with product on roadmap and documenting systems
Requirements
- Proven full-stack engineering experience with Python, C#/.NET, or Node.js
- Frontend capability with React or Next.js
- Hands-on with LLMs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Experience with RAG and vector databases
- Azure cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication and product thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience with CX platforms (Zendesk, Intercom, Genesys)
- Startup/scale-up experience
