About the Role
BCG X is looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer Intern to join their rapidly growing engineering team in Madrid or Barcelona. The role involves working with clients to design, build, and deploy AI solutions, owning the full analytics value chain from problem framing to implementation. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to thought leadership in AI. This is an on-site internship for students enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or PhD program.
Responsibilities
- Apply software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software
- Actively participate in every part of the software development life cycle
- Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design
- Interact directly with clients on new features for future product releases
- Collaborate in teams to share software design and solution ideas
- Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university bachelor's, master's or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field
- Passion for software development and large-scale data analytics
- Proficiency in Python
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
