About the Role

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AI Services to join the Enterprise Data Management & Analytics team. This role involves designing and implementing scalable AI services for metadata generation and feature extraction, and developing agentic AI solutions using LLMs and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software engineering and machine learning, and a passion for spaceflight.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, low-latency AI services for metadata generation and feature extraction
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into design solutions
Ensure AI/ML systems comply with security and data privacy standards
Develop and deploy Agentic AI solutions including autonomous agents and LLM-powered workflows
Own features end-to-end from estimation to deployment and post-launch measurement
Build resilient systems with observability, automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform
Lead on-call rotations and drive root-cause analysis and operational excellence

Requirements

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years professional software development experience building RESTful APIs and AI/ML applications
Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Java
Experience with cloud environments and containerized workloads (AWS)
