Autodesk is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a full-stack engineering team integrating generative AI capabilities and agentic workflows into product experiences. You will define shared data representations, deliver developer-facing integration surfaces, and design client/server components for safely invoking automated assistants. This role combines people leadership, front-end engineering ownership, and collaboration with product, ML, and research teams to ship production-quality AI-enabled features.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full-stack engineering team integrating AI capabilities and agentic workflows into frontend and backend product flows.
- Define and implement shared data representations for consistent use across features.
- Deliver integration surfaces and developer-facing tooling for internal teams and partners.
- Champion an API-first mindset and contribute to platform initiatives including MCP/model-control platform.
- Own client-side and server-side functionality, ensuring end-to-end experience for shipped features.
- Lead and coach engineers in client-side and front-end engineering, including web UI and client integrations.
Requirements
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience delivering production software.
- Hands-on full-stack experience with emphasis on front-end and client work.
