Icardio.AI is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead its engineering team and drive development of production-grade AI-powered medical imaging solutions for cardiology. You will own the end-to-end ML lifecycle, build scalable MLOps infrastructure, and guide technical strategy while ensuring FDA compliance for medical device products. The role is based in Los Angeles (on-site preferred, remote acceptable).
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of ML/AI engineers building production-grade medical imaging solutions
- Orchestrate the end-to-end ML lifecycle from model development to deployment on NVIDIA Triton Servers
- Design and implement scalable MLOps infrastructure for model training, validation, and monitoring
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable model deployment
- Architect RESTful APIs for model serving and integration
- Lead cloud infrastructure decisions using GKE and Terraform
- Implement monitoring and observability with Sentry for production model performance
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and medical device standards
- Partner with product and clinical teams to translate cardiologist needs into technical requirements
