Senior ML Research Engineer - AFM Safety

Apple is seeking a Senior ML Research Engineer to conduct research and develop methods for making large language models safe, fair, and robust at scale. This role focuses on agentic safety, model character, persona, and multimodal safety, within the Apple Foundation Models (AFM) team in Seattle, WA.

• Conduct research on methods to make large language models safe, fair, and robust at scale.
• Focus on agentic safety, model character, persona, and multimodal safety.
• Develop and evaluate techniques for alignment and robustness in AI systems.

• Strong background in machine learning and large language models.
• Experience with safety, alignment, or robustness research.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
