Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop core libraries for Agentic AI applications. The role involves building scalable agent capabilities, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

• Track and understand evolving agent development patterns. Develop open-source libraries to accelerate agent harnesses and frameworks. Benchmark agents to identify bottlenecks and improve performance. Work with teams building high-performance data pipelines, RAG systems, vector databases, and GPU-optimized workflows. Identify gaps in agent architectures and create tools to boost developer velocity and agent quality.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field. 8+ years experience in Rust, Python, Go, or Node.js. Proficiency in asynchronous programming, agent frameworks, LLM applications, and API design. Systems-level debugging and performance optimization skills. Strong collaboration and open source community engagement.

• Experience building evaluation/benchmarking systems for agent workflows. Rust systems work (async Rust, Tokio, serde) or Python native extensions (PyO3, maturin). Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, observability, middleware, plugin systems, and maintaining open-source libraries.
