ZeroMark is seeking a Principal Computer Vision Engineer to develop and optimize advanced computer vision algorithms for aerial object detection and tracking in AI-driven counter-drone systems. The role involves researching new CV and deep learning techniques, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring real-time performance in defense applications. Ideal candidates have a Master's/PhD in a related field, experience in computer vision and object detection, and strong programming skills in Python/C++ with OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of computer vision algorithms for aerial object detection and tracking.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning to ensure solutions remain at the forefront of technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists, to integrate computer vision solutions into defense systems.
- Optimize and enhance existing algorithms for improved accuracy, efficiency, and real-time performance.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to improve detection and tracking accuracy.
- Help ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all developed solutions.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with focus on computer vision and machine learning.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer vision and object detection.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++, and familiarity with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar libraries.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models in real-world applications.
- In-depth knowledge of image processing, feature extraction, object detection, and tracking algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and innovate.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with drone technology and UAV systems.
- Knowledge of radar, LIDAR, and other sensing technologies.
- Experience in 3D perception or similar fields.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and edge computing.
