Xometry is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead its Generative AI efforts, focusing on multimodal document understanding and structured data extraction from technical drawings. The role involves shaping the AI roadmap, building state-of-the-art models using LLMs and computer vision, and deploying scalable solutions on AWS. Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for Generative AI team and establish best practices
- Develop and deploy large language and generative models for multimodal processing
- Create data pipelines and training workflows for massive datasets
- Deploy ML models into production at scale using cloud microservice architecture
- Mentor teammates on advanced ML methods and model architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; M.S. or PhD in CS/AI preferred
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning with deep expertise in generative models, LLMs, or computer vision
- Proficiency in Python and key ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, NumPy)
- Experience deploying ML models using cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
