Volvo Group is seeking a Senior AI Solution Engineer to join their Data Science team of 35+ experts. The role involves engineering production-grade ML solutions, collaborating with international stakeholders, and owning key technical decisions. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden or Lyon, France.
Responsibilities
- Enable engineering of production-grade machine learning solutions; Collaborate with international stakeholders and product teams; Take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and lifecycle management including CI/CD, deployment, orchestration, containerization, MLOps, and model serving; Ensure solutions align with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills with Python; Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); Solid experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Podman, Terraform); Strong experience with CI/CD (Azure Pipelines, Github Actions) and git branching; Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI; Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
Nice to Have
- Deep experience with LLMs including retrieval, prompt engineering, evaluation, safety, and cost performance tuning; Experience delivering ML/AI in regulated environments; Domain experience with vehicle data, diagnostics, telematics, or quality and warranty analytics; Leadership experience owning ML products end to end or mentoring.
