Visa is seeking a Senior Software AI Engineer to build production-grade agentic systems powered by LLMs within an AI-first engineering team. The role focuses on designing multi-agent orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, and tool-calling integrations using Java-based technologies like LangGraph4j and Spring Boot. Engineers will work on enterprise-scale inference services and agent memory architectures deployed on on-premise Kubernetes infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-agent LLM workflows using LangGraph/LangChain4j with conditional routing and state persistence.
- Build ReAct agent loops and Supervisor/Orchestrator patterns for dynamic task coordination.
- Develop MCP tool servers to expose enterprise data sources as callable tools for AI agents.
- Implement RAG pipelines including document chunking, embedding generation, and vector storage with pgvector.
- Create Spring Boot microservices hosting AI orchestration engines and REST APIs.
- Deploy containerized workloads via Helm charts and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing backend services in Java (17+) with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
