Uber is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to drive offer relevance and messaging personalization for its Uber One membership program. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of targeting models, including uplift estimation, budget-constrained allocation, and personalized ranking across mobility and food delivery apps. This role requires strong expertise in productionizing ML systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of targeting and personalization models from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
- Build heterogeneous treatment effect models to predict incremental impact of interventions on users.
- Design budget-constrained allocation systems for offer decisions under real-world constraints.
- Develop personalized ranking and sequencing models for membership messaging across Eats and Mobility apps.
- Partner with backend engineers to productionize models in real-time serving paths and batch pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping ML models in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM).
