Member of Technical Staff

A fast-growing AI startup building a conversational AI personal assistant is hiring a Member of Technical Staff to build and scale backend AI services and partner integrations. The role focuses on optimizing LLM inference costs, collaborating with a small elite team of engineers from top quant firms and research labs.

• Build and scale backend services powering the core AI assistant product.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party partner services in health, fitness, productivity, and communication.
• Optimize inference costs and performance across large language model providers.
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team of engineers from top quant trading firms and research labs.
• Engage in partner-facing technical interactions depending on interest and skill set.

• 2+ years of experience in AI and/or backend engineering roles.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python for backend development.
• Experience at a fast-growing, high-impact startup.
• Internship or full-time experience at a top quantitative trading firm or in a quantitative role in investment banking.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
