About the Role
Data engineer role supporting the MAIA project, responsible for designing and maintaining data integration processes, ensuring data quality, and managing databases. Requires expertise in SQL, Python, R, and data governance tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data integration processes from multiple sources.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies including security and privacy.
- Design, administer, and optimize relational and non-relational databases.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Support data architecture initiatives and improve data management practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with 3 years in a similar position.
- Proven experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of database design, SQL development, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Python and R for data processing and automation.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data pipelines.
- Experience with data governance platforms such as Talend, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Databricks.
