About the Role
A stealth frontier AI laboratory is building an AI capable of original discovery, moving beyond retrieval to reason toward new understanding. We are seeking a Senior AI Research Engineer to develop agentic AI systems that drive this mission. This is an on-site, full-time role in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic AI systems that pursue original discovery
- Develop novel reasoning methods and architectures
- Collaborate with the research team to advance the lab's core objectives
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in AI research and engineering
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and reasoning systems
- Proven ability to implement complex AI systems in production or research settings
Nice to Have
- Experience with agentic AI, reinforcement learning, or large-scale model training
