Principal MLOps Engineer

Solventum seeks a Principal MLOps Engineer to lead operational architecture, deployment strategy, and reliability for AI in healthcare information systems. You will define enterprise release governance, monitoring standards, and incident management for mission-critical clinical environments.

• Architect and govern comprehensive release strategy with automated approval gates and deployment readiness standards. Establish deployment execution standards for promoting AI across all environments. Oversee enterprise model registry with CI/CD integration. Define monitoring standards, SLAs/SLOs, and dashboards. Architect automated checks for data quality and model drift. Establish production incident process with triage, escalation, postmortems, and rollback mechanisms. Partner with Platform teams for ATO compliance and operational reporting.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 10+ years in software engineering with at least 6 years deploying large-scale ML systems in production. Expert-level experience with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Kubeflow, or Airflow). Expert-level Python and Java/Go. Deep proficiency in backend frameworks, microservices, and system design. Expert knowledge of monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and enterprise SLAs/SLOs for AI services. Proven track record in automated deployment pipelines, complex rollback procedures, and model registry governance.
