SimpliSafe is hiring a Staff ML Engineer to lead ML infrastructure for real-time computer vision and LLM/GenAI serving. You will set technical direction for the Kubernetes-based ML platform, build and operate real-time CV inference, and stand up LLM serving. This is a senior individual contributor role on the Cloud ML team.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for ML infrastructure
- Build and operate real-time CV inference at scale
- Stand up LLM/GenAI serving infrastructure
- Raise the engineering bar across Cloud ML
- Own reliability and operational excellence
Requirements
- 8+ years of software/ML engineering experience
- Deep expertise in cloud ML infrastructure on Kubernetes with hands-on production experience with Ray
- Strong production experience on AWS (EKS, S3, IAM, networking) and with Kafka
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency inference systems
- Solid grounding in ML fundamentals
- Proficiency in Python
- Staff-level technical leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication
