Quince is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, MLOps to lead the infrastructure powering production-grade machine learning. You will define the MLOps vision and strategy, build automated self-service platforms for data scientists and AI researchers, and manage a high-performing team. The role involves strategic prioritization, build vs. buy decisions, and ensuring scalability and reliability of ML services.
Responsibilities
- Define the MLOps vision and strategy, architecting a long-term roadmap for automated ML workflows.
- Build and maintain end-to-end infrastructure for model training, deployment, and serving.
- Drive strategic prioritization with business leaders to align infrastructure with e-commerce drivers.
- Lead build vs. buy evaluations for cloud-native services versus custom tools.
- Guarantee system scalability and reliability for production ML services.
- Manage compute governance and costs, optimizing GPU clusters and cloud instances.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of ML Infra and DevOps engineers.
- Establish MLOps standards including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing.
- Bridge the research-engineering gap by translating AI researcher needs into engineering requirements.
- Define and track velocity metrics such as deployment frequency and MTTR.
