Pave is seeking a Senior AI Agent Engineer to lead the development of its autonomous compensation analyst platform. You will design and build agentic systems that reason over proprietary compensation data, execute multi-step workflows, and drive product strategy from concept to production. This role combines deep technical expertise in LLMs and retrieval architectures with strong product intuition to solve complex HR tech challenges.
Responsibilities
- Shape technical vision and execution for autonomous compensation agent systems
- Build end-to-end AI products integrating LLMs, retrieval, and workflow engines
- Define engineering primitives and patterns for cross-team alignment
- Lead 0→1 technical initiatives with high ambiguity from concept to market
Requirements
- 7+ years building production software with deep expertise in LLMs and agentic architectures
- Strong product intuition and ability to partner with Product teams
- Proven track record leading ambiguous 0→1 technical initiatives
- Pragmatic engineering judgment and ability to drive cross-team alignment
Nice to Have
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
