Axon is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join its computer vision and machine learning (CVML) team. The role involves advancing state-of-the-art CVML and multimodal technology for public safety products. You will lead end-to-end research, design privacy-preserving models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to build proof-of-concepts.
Lead end-to-end research in computer vision, machine learning, and generative AI for cloud and devices.
Design and implement responsible, privacy-preserving, efficient, and scalable models for visual data analysis.
Develop performance metrics and validate model effectiveness in real-world settings.
Optimize algorithms for resource-constrained devices.
Stay current with research and translate findings into products.
Contribute to publications and patents.
Coach and mentor junior scientists.
Requirements
PhD and 3+ years experience in Computer Science or related field with focus on CV/ML/AI.
Proven track record of research in machine learning or computer vision.
Experience driving ML development lifecycle and delivering models at scale.
