Ontrac Solutions is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Application Engineer to build and deploy end-to-end applications using Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Gemini models. The role requires strong expertise in Python backend development with FastAPI and React frontend development, focusing on agent workflows and cloud-native deployment. This is a fully remote position supporting a critical customer engagement within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python/FastAPI backend services with PostgreSQL data models
- Implement agent and multi-agent workflows using Vertex AI, Gemini, and ADK
- Develop responsive front-end interfaces using React 18 and TypeScript
- Package and deploy containerized services to Google Cloud Run
- Write automated tests using Pytest and Playwright for stability
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python (3.11+) and REST API development
- Experience with React 18, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, and Gemini SDKs
- Proficiency in relational data modeling with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices
