Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI (Auth0)

Okta is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for the Generative AI team to design and implement production-ready AI/ML systems. You will work on LLM-powered features, infrastructure, and platform services, collaborating with product and security teams.

• Design and implement components across different layers of the stack using technologies such as Python, LangGraph, DSPy, and MCP. Contribute to design of scalable, observable ML and GenAI systems. Develop structured prompting, retrieval, and RAG workflows. Build automated evaluation pipelines.

• Strong programming expertise in Python. Experience with GenAI platforms (AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic). Understanding of RAG, embeddings. Familiarity with ML frameworks and orchestration tools. Experience with AI agent frameworks (LiteLLM, LangGraph, LangChain, etc.). Experience defining evaluation metrics and pipelines. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

• Experience with identity and auth products. Experience creating tools for AI-based coding. Exposure to ethical AI, model risk, compliance. Familiarity with evaluation datasets, synthetic data generation, LLM-as-a-judge.
