About the Role
Tuotempo, a patient engagement platform for healthcare, seeks a Backend Engineer to architect and build AI-powered products. The role focuses on developing scalable backend services for conversational AI, integrating LLMs, and building real-time architectures. Collaborate with AI engineers and product managers to innovate healthcare technology.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for voice and chat AI applications.
- Experiment with new technologies for real-time integration and implement POCs.
- Integrate third-party APIs (Twilio, WhatsApp, ElevenLabs, OpenAI).
- Implement real-time communication features (websockets, streaming) and advanced voice capabilities.
- Design and improve multi-agent orchestration frameworks for AI conversations.
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and ensure monitoring and logging.
Requirements
- 3+ years of OOP backend engineering experience.
- Proven skills in building real-time APIs (websockets, streaming) and async programming.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (preferably OpenAI), MCP, and multi-agent architectures.
- Experience with third-party communication APIs (Twilio, WhatsApp).
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, e2e).
