Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Prediction

Motional is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Behaviors team, working on scene understanding and trajectory generation for self-driving robotaxis. The role involves training, evaluating, and deploying deep neural networks for behavior prediction and planning. You'll collaborate with world-class ML engineers and research scientists to push the boundaries of Level 5 autonomous driving.

• Design and execute experiments to improve scene understanding and behavior prediction models.
• Implement metrics to evaluate model performance across diverse scenarios.
• Release major model updates with offline and on-road evaluation analysis.
• Stay current with industry trends and propose novel architectures.
• Maintain high-quality training and evaluation codebases.

• In-depth understanding of ML and deep learning algorithms.
• Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for motion planning, object detection, sensor fusion, motion prediction, or multi-object tracking.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute efficiently.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles (design, version control, code reviews, testing).
• Experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks.
• Experience with large datasets and data-driven insights.
