About the Role
Moderna is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and implementation of AI software platforms for Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital. This role involves defining architecture, standards, and deployment patterns for AI/ML and GenAI innovations. The engineer will mentor teams and ensure secure, scalable, enterprise-grade products.
Responsibilities
- Provide deep technical leadership for design, implementation, and operation of AI software platforms and cloud-based deployment patterns
- Set technical architecture, build critical software components, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers across multiple regions
- Own end-to-end application architecture and delivery strategy for AI and data products, including lakehouse patterns, CI/CD pipelines, MLflow lifecycle management, and validated releases
- Define technical strategy for AI software delivery, GenAI applications, agentic workflows, and cloud-native AI platforms
- Lead cloud deployment standards across environments including workspace architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and model serving
- Design reusable libraries, orchestration patterns, APIs, and platform accelerators for AI prototypes to production
- Establish best practices for AI/ML/LLMOps including automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring
- Drive integration of SAP and enterprise data sources into trusted data products and intelligent decision-support services
