Mintlify is looking for an Applied AI Engineer to build production-grade AI agents and experiences on their docs platform. You'll own AI products end-to-end, from agent orchestration and tool use to frontend interfaces and backend infrastructure. The role involves developing reliable agents, creating evals, and shipping full-stack features. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of software development and deep experience with LLM systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship customer-facing AI experiences end-to-end, including agent orchestration, tool use, and supporting interfaces/backend systems.
- Build reliable agent loops that reason over complex context, call tools, recover from failures, and complete long-running tasks.
- Create evals, analyze failures, and improve prompts, context, models, tools, and product flows.
- Build APIs, data pipelines, interfaces, and production infrastructure to turn prototypes into polished products.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Deep experience building production systems with language models, including agent loops, tool use, retrieval, prompting, and structured outputs.
- Comfortable owning production software across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
