Manulife is hiring Associate Applied AI Engineers to build governed GenAI and ML solutions for Finance, Treasury, and Actuarial teams. You will design end-to-end solutions, develop models and GenAI components, apply strong evaluation practices, and partner with engineering teams to productionize solutions. This role is ideal for early-career engineers with graduate training in AI/ML who want to solve real business problems.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to end-to-end solution design for GenAI and ML projects
- Build models and GenAI components for Finance and Actuarial use cases
- Apply strong evaluation and testing practices for ML and GenAI
- Partner with Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Software teams to productionize solutions
- Work in a governed environment, ensuring documentation and compliance
- Grow team capability by sharing knowledge and reusable components
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field
- 0–3 years of experience in applied data science or machine learning
- Strong Python and SQL, with solid software engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark/Databricks
