Loblaw Digital is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy advanced AI systems and agentic search agents for their retail eCommerce platforms. The role focuses on leveraging LLMs, LangChain, and GCP tools to build scalable ML solutions while mentoring junior developers and championing LLMOps best practices. Candidates will work cross-functionally to integrate AI components into production microservices.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship components for Agentic AI systems using state-of-the-art technologies.
- Develop high-performance ML models and AI agents using Python and large-scale datasets.
- Champion MLE and LLMOps best practices for robust deployment.
- Collaborate with frontend/backend teams to deploy ML models in production.
- Mentor other ML developers and drive technical discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience building scalable ML products.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Design Patterns.
- Experience deploying ML solutions in microservices architecture.
- 2+ years experience with GCP tools (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Composer).
- Strong foundation in ML algorithms, pipelines, and transformations.
