Senior/Staff AI Research Engineer

Hume AI is seeking software engineers to join its AI research team to develop state-of-the-art large language models. The role focuses on applying RLHE, a novel training method that learns human preferences from audio and video recordings, to make LLMs more helpful and aligned. Based in New York City with remote work available.

• Design and develop large language models
• Implement reinforcement learning from human expression (RLHE) training methods
• Collaborate with research teams to improve model quality and alignment

• Strong software engineering skills
• Experience with large language models
• Background in machine learning or AI research

• Experience with audio/video data processing
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning
