About the Role
Visa is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack to lead development of AI-enabled features and scalable user interfaces. You will work on complex distributed systems and mentor team members. This hybrid role requires expertise in Java, Node.js, and fullstack development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to AI-enabled features and capabilities
- Drive UI initiatives by translating backend services into intuitive interfaces
- Mentor team members and conduct project-level design reviews
- Work closely with product owners, architects, and product managers
- Perform proof of concepts and technical evaluations
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years with an Advanced degree
- Experience in Java and web service development
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and NPM
- Strong knowledge of REST API, Microservices, Containers
- Solid understanding of SQL and JPA
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
Nice to Have
- MS degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years experience
- Experience with Agile development techniques
