About the Role
Seeking a Software Engineer with experience in AWS, Python, and C#/C++ to work on engineering design platforms involving CFD/FEA. The role involves developing core modules, integrating with cloud compute, and automating workflows. Interest in Machine Learning is a plus. Based in Oxford with on-site presence 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop core modules within the Engineering design platform
- Integrate modules into AWS cloud compute environment
- Wrap commercial simulation tools into automated workflows
- Streamline complex engineering processes through automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a STEM or Computing discipline from a Russell Group University
- 2-8 years of commercial software engineering experience using C#, C++, or Python
- Experience with distributed computing, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Linux
- Strong software design patterns and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment
- Exposure to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience with Vue/Django, JavaScript/TypeScript
