Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Fraud ML)

Affirm is building machine learning systems for real-time fraud detection. As a Senior ML Engineer on the Fraud ML team, you'll develop fraud prediction models, productionize them, monitor performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Lead development of fraud prediction models using tabular, graph, and behavioral data.
• Build and scale feature pipelines and training datasets.
• Prototype new modeling ideas and run offline experiments.
• Productionize models into batch/real-time decision systems.
• Monitor model health and define retraining workflows.
• Identify and implement foundational improvements to team's modeling practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Fraud Analytics, Product, and ML Platform teams.

• 6+ years experience researching, training, tuning and launching ML models at scale.
• Track record of delivering high impact models in low latency production.
• Strong Python skills and production code.
• Experience with gradient-boosted decision trees (LightGBM/XGBoost/CatBoost).
• Experience with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
• Experience with distributed data processing (Spark, Ray, Dask).
