GE Vernova GridOS Project Engineer - Co-Op/Intern

GE Vernova is seeking a graduate student intern to join the GridOS team, applying AI and Large Language Models to improve electric utility network validation and diagnostics. The role involves developing intelligent workflows, prompt engineering, and agentic solutions to detect and classify modeling issues for utilities worldwide.

• Analyze large-scale power system model validation and diagnostic logs.
• Develop AI and LLM-based approaches to detect, classify, and prioritize modeling issues.
• Investigate network model inconsistencies to determine root causes.
• Build intelligent workflows that suggest or prescribe corrective actions for model remediation.
• Design prompt engineering, retrieval, or agentic solutions using modern LLM technologies.
• Document research findings and present results to engineering leadership.

• Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization) or Computer Science.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.
• Programming experience in Python and data analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
